More importantly, it signals increased collaborations between AI-driven technologies and the health industry. From AI’s use in medical imaging to its involvement in healthcare communication and precise medical dosages, the breadth of application is staggering. Accenture has noted that key clinical health AI applications can create a potential of $150 Billion in annual savings for the US healthcare economy in half a decade.
It’s difficult at times to fathom the reach of AI into every corner of our lives. But the more we can understand the potential of its use up and down the value chain across every industry, the more we may be able to recognize change, opportunity and risk. From creating new flavor profiles and predicting upcoming food trends, to optimizing farm-to-table opportunities and mapping the microbiome. We are barely at the beginning of the appetizer course when it comes to AI’s impact on food and it’s related industries.
